About Us:
Norwell Community Schools encompass two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Enrollment is nearly 2,500 students throughout the district from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. The district has an expanding special education program that serves all eligibility areas, providing intense interventions. Over 98% of Norwell High School students graduate with pathways to postsecondary education, employment, or military service.
Diverse Academic Programs:
- AP & College Dual-Credit: We offer over 40 dual credit courses, including Indiana College Core credits and several AP classes.
- STEAM/STEM: We emphasize STEAM/STEM education, along with programs like Robotics, Auto Mechanics, and Health Science.
- Arts: Students thrive in our competitive choir and band programs as well as explore their creative expressions in theatre and art programs.
Community Partnerships:
NWCS collaborates with local businesses to enhance student experiences and CTE programs. Recently, Norwell Community Schools was awarded a $480,000 grant to expand our CTE offerings.
Parental Involvement:
Parents actively participate in focus groups, aiding in the planning and implementation of initiatives.
What Our Community Says:
"We have 3 boys that have now experienced OES, NMS, and NHS. As parents we moved into the district and didn’t graduate from Norwell. We have LOVED our experiences at all 3 schools. They have done well academically and love the sports they have participated in. We love the small community feel that seems like family. We always recommend Norwell as a great place for other families looking for a place to land." -Parent
