When did you move here? From Where?
September 2020 – I moved from Indianapolis to Bluffton.
Where else have you lived?
I grew up in Bluffton as a kid before moving to Indianapolis for college. I lived in Indianapolis for seven years before moving back to Bluffton.
Why did you choose to Live Better in Wells County?
My husband, Pat, and I decided to move to Bluffton to start a family. We wanted to live somewhere that had a tight knit community feeling with great schools.
How has your opinion of Wells County changed since moving here?
My passion is spending time with my family. Bluffton allows me to do that because I was fortunate enough to buy a house a few miles from my parents and I have been able to completely remodel our home with their help.
Tell us about your community/neighborhood. What do you like best? What makes it different?
Pat and I bought a house just south of Bluffton, in the country. We love having a little bit of land that provides privacy but is still close to the amenities of Bluffton.
What is your passion, and how does Wells County help fulfill it?
My passion is being outdoors and spending time with my family. Bluffton has allowed us to own land so that we can raise our children getting to experience fishing, camping and riding four wheelers. It has also allowed me to stay connected with my family and reconnect with them after being away for so long.
Where do you go and what do you do in your free time?
In our free time we like to go camping or doing anything outdoors. We have really enjoyed evenings at the Ouabache State Park walking our two dogs.
What advice would you give someone who is considering moving here?
My advice to someone who is considering moving to Bluffton is to be patient with this housing market. Bluffton is very affordable with a lot of great property, it’s just a matter of being patient and finding the perfect place for you.
Tell us about the work environment here.
My husband has been able to experience the work environment in Bluffton first-hand. He was welcomed with open arms at Metalco and he has created friendships that will last a lifetime.
What is your favorite outside activity, and where is your favorite place to do it?
My favorite festival in Bluffton has to be Street Fair. It’s something that I think almost everyone looks forward to. It’s a time where families can have a blast enjoying yummy food and fun rides!
